Sammy and Liz moved this week to another under 6 centre - St Mary's at Chemusa.

The centre is in the heart of the community and we seem to be of great interest to the locals.

Yet again we are overwhelmed by the hospitality of the caregivers we are working with, they are very keen to work along side us.

After a first day of much singing and dancing and getting a feel for the place we got down to more serious work today!

We were working on numbers by getting the children to play skittles with numbered bottles encouraging turn taking and developing number skills in an active way.

With the help of Cafelusie from Mary's Meals we are able to split the children into smaller groups (30/35) which makes the learning sessions work well. The children are all very enthusiastic and participate well considering there are times the have to wait a while for their turn.

Sammy and I had an additional help today as Jane from our MLOL group who works in nurseries at home joined us to see what education was like at Mary's Meals and her feedback was she had a very interesting and enjoyable day.

The centre has some TALULAR resources and between Sammy and myself we work a rota of some children in a  planned learning session, another group participating in singing and games and the 3rd group using the TALULAR resources.

The caregivers work well with us and share some favourite songs and games the children do regularly.

I have introduced the children to bubbles which always creates a lot of hilarity so that's how the session ended, yet another moving and feel good day.

Tomorrow Sammy and I are being joined by two Strathclyde university students so hopefully they will enjoy it as much as Jane did today.
