Day 1
Well - an exciting start to the trip as our first flight was delayed! Inevitably, this meant it was a ‘mad dash’ to catch our connecting flight.
Myself, Maureen, Marie, Stephen and Amanda had an exciting time ahead as we embarked on our trip to Malawi. In London, we had to run to Terminal 2 to get our next flight. Unfortunately, this meant our luggage did not come with this.
After this, it was a smooth journey to Blantyre, Malawi.
This is my first time in Malawi and the rain has most definitely followed us from Scotland.
After we checked into our rooms, we went to get some dinner and snacks.
Due to a busy day of travelling, we all had an early night.
For the first time, I settled into my bed with my mosquito net for a good nights sleep before our morning at Stella Maris for mass.
Day one complete and I’m excited for what tomorrow will bring ?
