Today Alison and I along with Gift and Veronica went to visit Lipunga Primary to see the learning in standard 1.
We met the teachers and children of both standard 1 classes which had about 60 children in each class. One class was inside and quite big and the other was outside and much smaller.
It was interesting to see the differences in the teaching and learning in Malawi and Scotland. We observed for a while then we taught the children some nursery rhymes.
We then went to help some of the MLOL teachers who were painting and setting up a library within the school. The teachers and children were delighted to have a library to access books to help with their learning.
It was amazing to see their faces, the children are so keen to learn and this resource will help them immensely.
