After my weekend with the team I returned to Michiru to find a full compliment of teachers.

The training last week was about supporting children with disabilities and the staff felt they learned a lot from it. I can't believe this is our last full week. The time has flown by.

Fraser is with me this week to develop sports leaders. I worked with Clemisia and Irene to deliver today's lessons, using various strategies.

The learners are becoming more confident in speaking out and their pair work has developed hugely.

We prepared name sticks to further support the no hands up strategy using dried plant seed pods. Hopefully this will also help a greater variety of learners speak out.

The children loved it!

I spoke with the SMT and have arranged to run some short sessions on the strategies I have been focusing on throughout this week. I met with members of the PTA today. They are very proud of their school and play an active role.

While visiting classes I saw some children rinsing their porridge cups at the bore hole. Oticia, a learner in my class, made me a beautiful necklace and head band with the paper craft I saw last week.

So generous and kind, especially when people here have so little. I was deeply touched by this gesture.
